Custom Mantels
Southwest Trading Post produces a wide variety of authentic log fireplace mantels, and has rapidly become the largest supplier in Central Texas. We constantly acquire large mesquite, pecan, hill country juniper, and red cedar logs to be cut on our sawmill in various shapes and sizes. Our cedar mantels have a rustic log-cabin feel to them, where our mesquite and pecan have an elegant rustic or rustic modern feel and go with most homes built in our area.
Our popular solid wood mantels are made from Mesquite, Red Cedar, Western Cedar, and Pecan.
Smooth Mantels
Our smooth wood mantels look great in both modern and traditional settings. We offer a variety of hardwoods and can customize the mantel to suit your design.
Hand Scraped
Our hand scraped finish creates a beautiful texture that can warm up a modern space or compliment a traditional interior. This look is achieved, just as the name implies, by scraping the wood by hand with a metal tool.
Timber Chipped
Timber chipping gives a unique and rustic looks to the fireplace mantel. A great way to add texture, warmth, and a feeling of history to a room. Come by our facility to see this finish in person.
Live Edge
A live edge mantel retains the natural pattern and curvature of the outer wood surface. This look can add a ton of character to a space and will be largely affected by the mantel blank you choose.
